Bristol City vs Oldham Athletic AFC preview - Wilbraham fit for Robins

Aaron Wilbraham will be available to lead the line for Bristol City when they welcome Oldham.

The experienced striker was a doubt to face Barnsley last weekend but overcame a back injury and scored a vital goal to keep the Robins' unbeaten record intact and having sat out training earlier this week he has been given the green light to feature.

His availability and the lack of fresh injury worries means Steve Cotterill could name the same 11 as they look to make it an incredible 16 games unbeaten against former midfielder Lee Johnson and his Oldham side.

Johnson spent six years at Ashton Gate, making over 150 starts.

Oldham have received mixed news on the injury front.

George Elokobi was due to see a specialist on Thursday because of a persistent thigh problem and boss Johnson revealed a worst-case scenario could keep him sidelined for three months.

However, club captain Adam Lockwood played 70 minutes for the reserves earlier in the week and could make his first competitive appearance of the season following a foot problem.

Johnson is unlikely to alter things too much, though, given his side are in the midst of a 13-game unbeaten streak.
