ARSENAL are looking to sign Spartak Moscow star Romulo this January, with Arsene Wenger preparing to offer the Russian outfit £9.5million plus Yaya Sanogo on loan.
Romulo is wanted by Arsene Wenger in January
The Gunners boss is keen to land a new central midfielder in the upcoming January window and is looking for an anchorman to steady the ship in the middle of the park.
Wenger has been keeping tabs on a number of big names, including Real Madrid's Sami Khedira, but according to reports the Frenchman has identified Romulo as his first-choice target.
The 24-year-old moved to Russia in 2012 from Vasco in 2012 for around £6million, but has only made 18 league appearances after missing a season-and-a-half through injury.
Romulo, who has been capped eight times for Brazil's senior side, has still been backed to become one of Europe's leading enforcers, and Wenger is keen to snap him up.
The Arsenal chief believes a bid of £9.5m will be enough to secure Romulo's services, with Spartak also looking to take Sanogo on a temporary deal for a year.
