Dani Alves was interviewed at length by 'La Vanguardia', where he talked about his contract situation, Leo Messi, Luis Enrique, Neymar and Barcelona in general.
His seventh season at the Camp Nou: "I've survived because I know the expectations that there always are here. I always set myself challenges and staying at Barça is a personal challenge of mine. I want to leave with a feeling that my time at Barça has been awesome".
A possible new contract: "I never think in the long term. So in the short term I want to see out my current contract here".
Goal assists: "I've set up more goals for Messi than anyone at Barcelona. That's a fact. The cross for Messi's goal number 400 for Barça was mine. In Barça's first Club World Cup Leo's winning goal came from my cross. Some people might not like it, but it's there for everyone to see".
Luis Enrique: "If you leave players to do things as they want then you're unlikely to succeed. At Barça we have great players but we need a reference point, someone to guide us along the path, who's telling us where we need to go".
Neymar: "His performances are no surprise at all. This is the Neymar that Barça signed, the player that knocks other teams off their balance and scores goals. He's developed a better understanding with the other attacking players".
Banana: "There are kids at the stadium and we need to set an example for them. If you set a bad example then the kid watching on will be doing the same thing tomorrow. I call for better behaviour from adults, because that's who the kids copy".
