FORMER Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini says Mario Balotelli is aware he's is the last chance saloon.
LAST CHANCE: Balotelli has been told he must impress at Liverpool
The Italy striker joined Liverpool in the summer after an 18 month spell with AC Milan.
Balotelli has struggled to adapt to life at Anfield, netting just once since his £16m switch.
After an indifferent spell with Milan and controversial time at City, Kop boss Brendan Rodgers has warned the 24-year-old that this is his last chance to impress at the highest level.
And now his former manager Mancini has echoed the views of the Liverpool chief.
“Mario is a good guy, but he is aware that Liverpool is probably his final opportunity to prove what he can do on the pitch. It’s his last chance,” he said.
“I often talk to him via text message, but only he can help himself now. He told me that he wants to and must score more goals for Liverpool.”
Balotelli will be hoping to find the net in Liverpool's first match after the international break, when they travel to face QPR.
They then host Real Madrid in the Champions League at Anfield, before hosting Hull City the following Saturday.
