Stenhousemuir vs Greenock Morton preview - Duo missing for Stenny

Stenhousemuir are without goalkeeper Chris Smith (knee) and midfielder Bryan Hodge (shoulder) for the clash with Morton at Ochilview.

Manager Scott Booth is looking for his men to put on a solid defensive display to help them secure their first win since the opening weekend of the League One season.

Booth said: "We need to be better defensively to enable us to have a platform to win games. We are not losing a lot of goals but the goals we are losing are bad ones at bad times.

"Hopefully against Morton we can keep their players from getting into areas that will hurt us."

Morton defender Stefan Milholevic returns after a knee injury and manager Jim Duffy will have a full squad to choose from if Stefan McCluskey overcomes a sickness bug.

The Greenock side defeated Dunfermline last weekend and Duffy said: "That was the best performance from the team since I came here. It is no surprise that once we got players back from injury then our performances would improve.

"Stenhousemuir have stuttered since starting the league well and they will view a home game as the perfect opportunity to get going again.

"The things we did well against Dunfermline last weekend we will need to do well again."
