Forfar Athletic vs Brechin City preview - Trio ruled out for Forfar

Forfar have ruled out injured trio Aaron James (jaw), Andrew Steeves (hamstring) and Michael Dunlop (knee) for the first Angus derby of the season against Brechin at Station Park.

Manager Dick Campbell is looking for a better display from his side after they let a two-goal lead slip at Stirling last weekend.

He said: "We took our foot off the gas and came away with only one point when we should have had three. The players dropped the pace and allowed Stirling back into the game which to be fair is unlike them.

"However, we cannot afford to do that against a Brechin side that are looking strong this season."

Brechin are without Callum Tapping due to a knee injury and Greg Cameron who is suspended after he was sent off in the 4-2 defeat against Ayr last Saturday.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "That was a disappointing result as we were leading and then had two penalties awarded against us as well as having Greg sent off.

"But it was our first defeat of the season so we have been going well. We need to take it on the chin and move on.

"Forfar are also going well and there will be an added edge to this game as it is a derby, but it is one we can win."
