Leyton Orient vs Rochdale preview - Nugent in charge against Dale
Posted Friday, September 26, 2014 by PA
Kevin Nugent will take charge of Leyton Orient when they host Rochdale following Russell Slade's resignation on Wednesday night.
Nugent, who was Slade's assistant, will check on defender Scott Cuthbert after he hobbled out of Tuesday night's Capital One Cup defeat by Sheffield United.
Gary Woods continues in goal as Adam Legzdins remains sidelined by a finger injury while full-back Gary Sawyer (knee) and striker Kevin Lisbie (shoulder) are also in the treatment room.
Winger Dean Cox is set to return to the starting line-up after dropping to the bench against the Blades.
Rochdale will be without suspended defender Joe Rafferty, so Rhys Bennett is expected to return to boss Keith Hill's starting line-up.
Rafferty received his fifth yellow card of the season in last week's home win against Coventry and misses out, but Hill has no new injury problems.
Centre-back Ollie Lancashire, left-back Michael Rose, right-back Tom Kennedy and striker Joe Bunney are all pushing for recalls to the starting XI.
Dale, in seventh place in the table, have won three of their last four league matches.
