Florent Malouda revelled in his French Ligue 1 return and is keen for Metz to continue to progress against Guingamp, one of his former teams.
Former France forward Malouda made his first Metz appearance in the 3-1 victory over Bastia on Saturday.
Now Metz travel to Stade Municipal du Roudourou seeking a third win in four games.
Malouda said on francefootball.fr: "It was a wonderful evening at all levels: the game, the result, the atmosphere.
"We saw the potential that this team has. A match happens very quickly on Wednesday against Guingamp and we should continue (to show potential)."
After spells with Chelsea and Trabzonspor in Turkey, Malouda was thrilled with his return to Ligue 1.
"The public reception was very warm," he added.
"I am happy to have won and hopefully re-live nights like that in (Metz's stadium) Saint-Symphorien.
"The audience was wonderful and the relationship with the audience as well.
"The lap of honour at the end of the match, the celebrations after goals, support the whole game, it was beautiful.
"This will be one of our strengths at home this season."
Malouda's next appearance is to come away from home, though, against a Guingamp side who won at home last time out, beating Bordeaux 2-1.
Guingamp lost 1-0 at Monaco last weekend and are 19th in the standings, with Metz ninth, ahead of the clash.
