York City vs Cambridge preview - Fletcher okay for York

York were relieved to see Wes Fletcher make his comeback from suffering knee ligament and cartilage damage by playing for 20 minutes in Saturday's draw with Northampton and he will look to kick on again when Cambridge visit on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old striker had been out of action since picking up those injuries against Portsmouth in March, having scored 13 goals in 36 appearances since joining the Minstermen last summer.

Fellow front man Jake Hyde came off for Fletcher over the weekend after he recovered from a calf injury to fill the void left by Ryan Jarvis, who is out with ankle ligament damage.

At the other end, City boss Nigel Worthington has called for more concentration from his defenders after conceding injury-time goals in all three games so far, stating: "You can live with a goal, or an equaliser, in the last two minutes once, it's hard to take a second time, but three times in a week - it's not right."

New signing Sam Whittall could make his debut for Richard Money's men.

The former Wolves midfielder joined United on a six-month deal last week and he was an unused substitute in their 2-1 loss at Portsmouth.

Issaga Diallo (thigh) is still a doubt after missing the weekend clash, while Money may hand Adam Cunnington a return to the starting 11.

Kwesi Appiah is likely to lead the line for the U's after opening his account for the season at Fratton Park.
