Diego Lopez to AC Milan is

AC Milan have agreed a deal with Real Madrid for goalkeeper Diego Lopez, according to CEO Adriano Galliani.

Lopez, 32, has decided to move on to a new challenge following Madrid's signing of Costa Rica international Keylor Navas from Levante as competition for Madrid veteran Iker Casillas.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Galliani told fans on Saturday: "The deal is 99 percent done."

Both Monaco and Napoli had shown interest earlier in the summer, and Madrid had been keen to involve Lopez in the negotiations to sign James Rodriguez from the Ligue 1 side, but the keeper insisted he wanted to stay.

However, Lopez now appears to be on his way out with some reports from Italy claiming that he will depart on a free transfer with performance related bonuses.
