Atletico Announce full-back's departure - Chelsea agree Filipe Luis deal

Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Filipe Luís for 20 million euros, subject to the full-back passing a medical at Stamford Bridge, according to statements on both clubs' websites.

Luís joined Atlético from Deportivo de la Coruña in the summer of 2010, although he was not involved in the victory over Inter Milan in the UEFA Super Cup that August. The Brazilian made 180 appearances for the 'Rojiblancos' during his four years at the Calderón, lifting the 'La Liga' title, the Spanish Cup, the Europa League and the 2012 UEFA Super Cup against none other than Chelsea.
