Louis Van Gaal starts life at Man United with his eyes on Vidal, Di Maria and Hummels

LOUIS VAN GAAL will press ahead with a triple World Cup swoop for Arturo Vidal, Angel Di Maria and Mats Hummels when he starts work at Manchester United tomorrow.
VAN GAAL TIME: The Dutchman takes charge of United tomorrow
The new Manchester United manager is hoping he can land all three before the new Premier League season kicks off on August 16.
And United can help fund the deals with the £750m they will pocket from Adidas after the German company were yesterday announced as the club's new shirt manufacturers.
Adidas will take over from Nike in 2015 and will give the Premier League side an eye-watering minimum of £75m-a-year as part of the 10-year deal.
Meanwhile, Van Gaal, 62, is pushing forward with matters on the pitch and has taken no time off after leading Holland to third place in the World Cup in Brazil on Saturday night.
The Dutchman flew back to his homeland on Sunday and is working from home in a bid to get the three deals moving.
But it is expected that United - who have already signed Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera for a combined £60m this summer - will really push their transfer plans forward once David Moyes' replacement arrives at Old Trafford.
United will enter further discussions with Juventus over Vidal, 27, but the Serie A giants want around £40m for the Chile midfielder.
Nani could be used as a makeweight and it is understood he is one of the players that Van Gaal will inform this week is surplus to requirements at the club.
The Portugal midfielder has never fulfilled his potential at Old Trafford and will be offloaded to make way for Di Maria.
Real Madrid star Di Maria, 26, has already snubbed interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
But United are confident they can convince the Argentina attacker to come to Old Trafford.
TEARY: Di Maria was told United aren't in the Champions League next term and couldn't handle it
He is concerned about United not being in the Champions League this season, but will be told that is a one-off and they expect to be back among Europe's elite next term.
Di Maria is expected to cost the 20-time champions around £38m and £150,000-a-week in wages.
United officials have already put feelers out to Hummels' camp to determine if the Germany defender would be keen to move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund.
They hope the World Cup winner will make a decision on his future now he has returned from Brazil and if there is mutual interest they will put in an offer of £20m.
Meanwhile, Dutch striker Robin van Persie will take three weeks off following the World Cup and will miss United's pre-season tour in America.
United jet out this weekend but Van Persie, 30, will stay at home to recover after helping his country to third place.
He said: "I need the three weeks' break. The World Cup has been heavy going for me.
"I gave everything I had in every single game. That was it - I had nothing left.
"We worked really hard at the finals, and we are like lemons that have been squeezed dry."
