ANDER HERRERA last night signed for Manchester United after his £28.8m move from Athletic Bilbao was finally completed.
HERR WE GO: Ander Herrera is looking forward to beggining his Old Trafford career
The Spanish midfielder has penned a four-year deal worth around £90,000-a-week having bought out his Bilbao contract.
Herrera, 24, said: "This is a dream come true.
"I have joined United to do all I can to help the team reach the club's objectives.
"Having arrived on Tuesday, I'm excited to now be living in Manchester and I can't wait for my first game in United's famous red shirt."
NEW BOY: Herrera was welcomed to his new club by United legend Bobby Charlton
Bilbao briefly threw a spanner in the works yesterday when they rejected United's bid.
But because of a clause in Herrera's contract the Spaniard was able to buy out his contract to ensure the £28.8m move went through.
He had already agreed terms and completed a medical with United earlier this week.
Bilbao were keen to be seen to be doing all they could to stop their star man from leaving, but they were powerless as United simply provided the funds direct to Herrera to trigger his release clause.
