Dani Alves's wages deter PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have dropped out of the running for Barcelona's Dani Alves, citing the player's high wage demands as the stumbling block. The Brazilian currently pockets €9m a year at the Camp Nou.
French newspaper 'Le Parisien' also claims that the player's age is seen as a further snag which means that the 31-year-old Brazilian full-back is no longer a priority in PSG's search for defensive reinforcements. That honour seemingly now belongs to Milan's Ignazio Abate.
Alves's contract expires in June next year, which is why Barcelona are looking to cash in this summer. The main hitch, however, is that the player's suitors are not willing to match his high wage demands.
Furthermore, the Brazil international now seems set to see out his contract and enjoy one last season at the Camp Nou. Just a few days ago, he admitted that he would like Barça to sign Cuadrado to provide competition for the left-back berth in Luis Enrique's side.
