Ancelotti Monitoring England starlet's progress - Real checking out Sterling

Though Real Madrid will not be making any moves in the transfer window until the World Cup finishes, several possible recruits have been mooted. The latest player linked to the Bernabéu is Liverpool prodigy Raheem Sterling, who dazzled with his wing wizardry this past season in the Premier League, linking up with Daniel Sturridge and fellow 'Los Blancos' target Luis Suárez to devastating effect.

Sterling, 19, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, but represents England at international level. His performances at the World Cup in Brazil have been one of the few bright spots amid the disappointment at Roy Hodgson's side being knocked out at the first time of asking.

According to The Mirror, the youngster is being lined up as a potential replacement for Ángel di María. If the Argentine doesn't end up leaving the Bernabéu, it is unlikely that Sterling will join Real anytime soon, although the club will continue to monitor the exciting talent's progress.
