Greenock Morton vs Falkirk preview - Reid not right for Morton

Morton's new manager Kenny Shiels is without Craig Reid for the visit of Falkirk after the defender suffered an ankle injury.

The Greenock men are also missing Jonathan Page (hamstring), Tony Wallace (groin) and David O'Brien (shoulder).

But Reece Hands and Kabba-Modou Cham are both available to start after injury.

Shiels, who will start a two-game touchline ban incurred when he was manager of Kilmarnock, said: "I am excited but I recognise that it will be tough game. Falkirk are a good side with good young players who are in good form.

"Winning this one would be a terrific start to my time at Morton."

Thomas Grant is Falkirk's only absentee after the midfielder was floored by a virus this week.

Technical director Alex Smith said: "Kenny is a great character but we will be going out to beat his team. He will be getting everyone at Morton excited about his first game but Falkirk have to go to Cappielow and ignore what is going on.

"The best way of doing that is by playing our normal game. We have been on a good run in the league and a repeat of our 3-1 win over Morton from earlier in the season would be terrific."
