Alloa Athletic vs Dundee preview - Caddis says Alloa

Alloa manager Paul Hartley has signed Liam Caddis on loan from St Johnstone ahead of the visit of Dundee.

Graeme Holmes and Iain Flannigan are both available after injury as the Recreation Park side look to extend their unbeaten run to eight games.

Hartley said: "We had a very solid performance against Morton last week and I am looking for us to build on that. Dundee are a good side who have beaten us twice this season, however there has been very little between us.

"Penalty decisions have been the difference so we are in with a chance if we play like we can."

Dundee's former Celtic, Hearts and Scotland striker Craig Beattie is a major doubt due to the knee injury he picked up as the Dark Blues lost 2-1 to Cowdenbeath last Saturday.

Stephen O'Donnell, who has returned to fitness after a year out with a knee problem, will not be asked to make a comeback on the Wasps' artificial surface.

Assistant manager Ray Farningham said: "Lost weekend was a poor performance and we are capable of a lot better.

"The players know they need to do better against a useful Alloa side."
