Stenhousemuir vs Arbroath preview - Hodge ready for battle for Warriors

Posted Friday, November 15, 2013 by PA

Stenhousemuir welcome back Bryan Hodge for the visit of Arbroath.

Hodge has recovered from an ankle injury but Sean Higgins will remain out with a similar problem.

Ross McMillan is available as the suspension for his red card against Annan in the William Hill Scottish Cup replay will be served in that competition.

Manager Martyn Corrigan said: "We may have scored eight times against Arbroath this season but they have scored seven times against us. Both teams like to attack and it is very unlikely that this game will finish 0-0.

"My players battled hard to defeat Annan in midweek and we will need that approach again to win this game."

Arbroath will be without the injured Ricky Little (foot) and Connor Birse (knee).

The visitors are looking for revenge for a Ramsdens Cup defeat on penalties and a home loss to the Warriors.

Player/ manager Paul Sheerin said: "We drew with East Fife last week and that was an important result as it stopped a third defeat in a row, which could have eroded confidence.

"We are still not playing as well as we can but hopefully things will come together at Ochilview.

"They are going strongly in the league but we can get a result there. Both sides can score and as long as we score one more than them I will be happy."
