Cowdenbeath vs Hamilton FC preview - McKenzie worry for Beath
Posted Friday, November 15, 2013 by PA
Cowdenbeath's only concern ahead of facing leaders Hamilton is Marc McKenzie.
Player-manager Colin Cameron is hoping that the winger recovers from a hamstring injury as the Fifers look to bounce back from a disappointing display and result against Alloa last Saturday.
Cameron said: "We lost 2-0 because Alloa wanted the game more than us and that was disappointing.
"I am looking for a performance against Hamilton that shows that we are ready to battle to move up in the table.
"We did well against them last season and played well at their place back in September so we have nothing to fear."
Hamilton will miss striker Mickael Antoine-Curier at Central Park after he had surgery on Thursday on his fractured jaw and cheekbone.
Player-manager Alex Neil looks set to be missing again due to a stomach muscle injury with James Keatings also struggling to return following a calf problem.
Neil said: "Central Park is a tough venue with the narrow width of the pitch restricting the way we would prefer to play.
"We went down to Queen of the South last weekend and picked up the three points without playing at our best. Hopefully we can put in a better performance this time but still pick up the win."
