Posted Thursday, August 15, 2013 by Marca.com

Earlier today, Wednesday, Carles Puyol kicked off his rehabilitation programme out on the pitch at the Joan Gamper training ground, Barcelona has revealed.
The Barça captain worked with physio Juanjo Brau, who put him through his paces with a variety of strength and endurance drills.
Puyol went under the knife on 19th June to have a Baker's cyst removed from his right knee. The centre-back has spent the last couple of months recovering from the surgery and did not join the squad on its Asian tour in order to concentrate on getting back to full fitness as soon as possible.
