Aubameyang, Dortmund's secret weapon

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Laval, France, 1989) is considered the fastest footballer on the planet. The Gabon striker is capable of running 30 metres in 3.7 seconds from scratch.
That is eight hundredths of a second faster than Jamaican Usain Bolt ran when he beat the 100-metre world record in Berlin in 2009 (9.58). "He's the fastest player to play here", said Zorc, Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director.
Aubameyang, who has already shown signs of what is to come, did not take long to write his name in the Bundesliga history books. His pace apart, the former St.-Etienne player proved his eye for goal in the victory over Augsburg (0-4).
In fact, he is already one of the deadliest strikers to score a hat-trick on his debut. Only Kraus (1963-64), Ohlicher (1973-74), Marschall (1993-94), Adhemar (2000-01) and Fenin (2007-08) had previously achieved the accomplishment.
The Gabon striker had previously shown flashes of his class by assisting Reus in the Super Cup and opened his account with a well-aimed header in the 24th minute. In the second half he latched onto a pass by Reus beating Amsif with a shot in at the far post (67th minute).
Aubameyang was then played in by Lewandowski and the striker dribbled round the keeper to complete his hat-trick in the 79th minute. A minute later he was replaced by Hofmann. The Polish striker then sealed victory for Dortmund from the penalty spot.
