Barça looks to Koscielny

Barcelona continues its relentless search for a centre-back. Having ruled out other options, the cub's technical staff is now considering Arsenal's 27-year-old French international, Laurent Koscielny. His price of around €15m would help to finalise a deal.

Barcelona may already have contacted Arsenal to start negotiations for the player and the Londoners would not be averse to his departure. Andoni Zubizarreta admires his versatility at the back and believes that he would adapt perfectly to Barça's playing style. The Catalan club see him as an ideal option, having already looked into other, more complicated transfer targets like Thiago Silva, Kompany and David Luiz, as well as a fleeting interest in Mathieu.
