The Nerazzurri will be without the Netherlands international for the trip to Parma, due to the internal debate surrounding his contract continuing
Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni has distanced himself from Wesley Sneijder's dispute with director Marco Branca.
Despite declaring his fitness ahead of the Serie A clash against Parma, Sneijder has been left out of the squad that is travelling to the Ennio Tardini after the midfielder failed to agree to a contract with reduced wages.
Branca has offered the Dutchman an ultimatum, claiming he will not be involved in the squad until he accepts the terms of a new contract, but Stramaccioni has refused to add to the discussions surrounding the situation.
"Obviously, I hope the situation can be resolved as soon as possible," the trainer told reporters. "I speak daily with both Wesley, and with the president. So I know the situation.
"I think the issue is simpler than people may think. Over the summer the club decided to have some very clear guidelines that we wanted to use throughout the transfer campaign.
"I have enormous respect for Wesley as a player and a man, but right now my position as the coach is not to select him for the good of the club. Having said that, I am going to Parma with great players at my disposal."
The recent complications in the relationship between Sneijder and the Nerazzurri have led to the Netherlands midfielder being linked away from San Siro in the January transfer window.
