Getting older ... David Beckham says his aches and pains are getting worse
DAVID Beckham has hailed this season with LA Galaxy as his best yet — but says his aches and pains are getting worse with age.
Despite nearing the end of a brilliant career which has also seen him play for Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan, the 36-year-old midfielder was awarded the MLS Comeback Player of the Year award this week after a stellar season.
He was also named in the MLS Best XI ahead of his side's Championship title decider against Houston Dynamo on Sunday.
After missing most of last season with an Achilles injury, Becks returned this term to play 26 games - the most he has managed in a season since his move to the United States.
In a radio interview yesterday, he said: "It's been a successful year so far, we've played well. I've been at Galaxy for five years but this has been the most enjoyable for me.
"This season has been my best season. Statistically I've been up there with most of the players and I'm doing well.
