Liverpool consider shock Villa move

Reports in Spain have indicated that Liverpool could make a shock move for Barcelona striker David Villa.
According to reports from Cadena SER, the striker has had a falling out with Lionel Messi, and the Liverpool hierarchy have made contact with Villa's agent to gauge his interest for a move to Anfield.
Manager Kenny Dalglish is well aware that his side are lacking firepower upfront, despite the success of Luis Suarez, as £35 million star signing Andy Carroll finding life hard at Liverpool, scoring a paltry five times since moving from Newcastle last January.
However, Villa will certainly not come cheap, especially in light of his 50 goals in 80 international appearances for Spain, but Liverpool owner John W Henry's track record at Anfield indicates he would not be scared off by high asking prices from Barcelona.
Villa could also be unsettled after failing to hit the same heights as he did for Barcelona last season, having only notched three La Liga goals in 11 games so far this season.
However, Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has tried to paper over the cracks between his two starsm, saying: "It is impossible to be an enemy of David (Villa), he is too nice a person.
"He is generous both in the way he plays football and also in his personal life. It is impossible not to get on well with him", the Catalan concluded.
