Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, Mike Phelan the Hull City caretaker manager, Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte and West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic talk about potential transfer dealings between now and the end of the window
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jose Mourinho, Manchester United manager:
(asked if German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will play again for the club)
"I think it's very difficult to happen. I'm not saying that it's impossible. I'm saying that it's very difficult. Because we have a decision completely made about (Paul) Pogba, (Ander) Herrera, (Morgan) Schneiderlin, (Marouane) Fellaini, Michael Carrick. We have five players for two positions. It's very, very difficult that an opportunity will arise."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Mike Phelan, Hull City caretaker manager:
(if he will be adding to his squad before the transfer window closes on Wednesday (31st August)):
"We are ready, if we can press the right buttons, to start doing some deals, whether that is possible, I would say no today, but certainly after tomorrow's game (against Manchester United), which is a fantastic game for us, then we need to do some hard work between now and Wednesday."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Antonio Conte, Chelsea Manager:
(On the transfer market)
"I must be honest and I think that we have a problem to reach our targets, but we must think about working to improve every day, and I hope in the transfer market to improve our squad, the team, with new players, but we understand that our targets are very difficult to reach."
