FC Seoul beat Shandong Luneng 3-1 in the opening leg of their AFC Champions League quarter-final in Seoul, South Korea on Wednesday (24th August).
A place in the AFC Champions League semi-finals was up for grabs, as FC Seoul hosted Shandong Luneng in South Korea on Wednesday.
The hosts opened their account in the 19th minute, as an appetising cross was headed home by Dejan Damjanovic. A fine header, but where was the marking?
FC Seoul doubled their advntage in the 31st minute when former Arsenal man Park Chu-young, timed his run to perfection, before firing home.
The visitors needed a route back into the match - and they pulled a goal back before half-time, courtesy of a superb free kick from Walter Montillo.
However, FC Seoul regained their two-goal advantage in the 69th minute - some neat play set up Adriano, who scored the home side's third goal of the game and put them in control of the tie.
The visitors protested claiming offside - but replays showed it was a good decision.
Jingdao was then sent off for the away side, who trail 3-1, going into the second leg on September 14th.
