Slaven Bilic spoke on Wednesday (24th August) ahead of West Ham United's UEFA Europa League third qualifying round second leg match against Astra Giurgiu on Thursday (25th August), with the tie currently in the balance at 1-1.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Slaven Bilic, West Ham United manager
"Astra? No, no - they are Romanian champions last year and Romania has got good football. I'm not talking about Steaua (Bucharest) like 20 or whatever years ago when they won the European Cup. They are a good team and then Euro 2016 has shown us that it's not about the name and it's not about the paper (the team line-ups on paper), it's about the performance on the pitch.
"No, no, away goal, to protect that? I mean it's not a five-minute game you know, five minutes to protect the goal, the away goal that gave you the advantage before the second leg. It's good to know (that we have away goal advantage), it's a good result, that's why the away goal is important, that's why everybody is talking before the away game 'it would be great to score an away goal' - because it gives you a little bit of a cushion. But you can't build and make your tactics like 'okay we have an away goal, now we have an actual result' and hope that you are going to hold on for 90 minutes."
