Defending Champions Celtic increase goalscoring glut to 14 goals from 3 games on Saturday (20th August) after a 4-2 away victory at St Johnstone.
A trip to St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday and Celtic came away with a goal tally of 14 in three games.
Brendan Rodgers' side beat their hosts 4-2 with a dominant first half. Leigh Griffiths took first blood with a deflected shot past St Johnstone's goalkeeper Alan Mannus just before the half hour mark.
Griffiths scored 40 goals in 51 games last season - he's already scored 6 from 7 in this campaign.
Fresh from beating Hapoel Be'er Sheva 5-2 on Wednesday in the Champions League First playoff round the Premiership Champions soon went 2-0 up.
Despite the second leg coming up in just three days' time they fielded a full strength side and it paid off.
New signing from Aston Villa Scott Sinclair continued his good form for Celtic by nicking the second.
St Johnstone, who finished 4th last season, were outclassed as Celtic got their third before the break.
James Forrest, catching their defence napping, firing it past Mannus.
No change early in the second half - the Australian international Tom Rogic smacking the crossbar from outside the area.
Against the run of play St Johnstone were awarded a penalty when Danny Swanson was brought down, and Swanson himself took the responsibility and the home side were back to 3-1 in the 82nd minute.
A rejuvenated St Johnstone side started to attack and scored a second in the 89th minute.
It was a pinpoint cross from Swanson, put away by last season's top scorer Steven MacLean.
St Johnstone were back to 2-3.
But there was to be no dramatic last minute comeback: Celtic scored a goal of their own in the 92nd minute.
Ryan Christie jumping on a rebound from Sinclair's shot - Celtic 4-2 winners.
The victory gives Brendan Rogers side six points from their first two games.
