Justin Rose of Great Britain reflected on Monday (15th August) after winning the first Olympic golf gold medal for 112 years.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Justin Rose, Olympic golf gold medallist:
"It's a huge win for me. It's made my season, it's made my year, it's made my next four years - it's amazing bragging rights now. Many guys are going to win tournaments between now and the next Olympic Games. Many guys are going to win major championships between now and the next Olympic Games - it's going to be 16 of them - but there will be little old me just bragging away on the gold medal for quite a while. So we're certainly going to have some fun with it on the range, but it's turned the whole season around."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Justin Rose, Olympic golf gold medallist:
"When you win a major championship you are doing that for yourself - those are your dreams as a kid. Here you're really contributing to something that the nation is very, very proud of and obviously if you look at Team GB's tally of medals right now, it's amazing for a relatively small country to be doing so well in the medal count. Every time I see a gold medal go up, or any medal go up, on my app I feel proud of the wider team. That's what makes it different and special."
