Mirim Lee leads as the 2nd round nears the close at the RICOH Women's British Open on Friday (29th July).
A warm day with little wind greeted the players at Woburn in England - perfect scoring conditions.
No player knows Woburn like Charley Hull. The English youngster grew up playing the course but couldn't quite kick on - a two-under 70 left her five-under overall.
Her Solheim Cup teammate Aza Munoz joined her at that score. The Spaniard with a 71.
No doubt about the shot of the day - step forward Sei Young Kim.
The Korean holed her second at the 13th - an eagle on the card. She ended on six-under after a second successive round of 69, and in a tie for 8th.
American Stacy Lewis closed a shot ahead after a round of two-under. The 2013 British Open champion putting nicely.
As was the 2014 champion Mo Martin. A 68 from the American, eight-under overall.
The round of the day came from yet another former British Open champion - Catriona Matthew.
Matthew struggled in the Scottish Open leading into the event, but clearly saved her best form for Woburn.
A 65 from the Scot - and not a single bogey on the card. It fired her up to nine-under overall, and right in contention.
Two players sit at 10-under. Ariya Jutanugarn and Shanshan Feng.
Jutanugarn with a 69, while Feng - out in the morning - carded a 68.
But out ahead is Mirim Lee. The Korean led the way after a 62 in the opening round but was unable to recreate the magic on day two.
A one-under 71 ensured she ended the day one clear.
