Isabelle Boineau secured her first Ladies European Tour title at the Ladies Scottish Open on Sunday (24th July), winning by a stroke from Linda Wessberg.
It was a day of low shooting on the final round of the Ladies Scottish Open on Sunday.
Round of the day came from Caroline Hedwall who broke a final round record score shooting a 64. Her eight place finish means she qualifies for the British Open too.
Onto the race for the trophy, Linda Wessberg jumped into an outright lead over Wales's Becky Morgan with this eagle at the 5th.
On 18 she had a putt for an -11 under finish.
That meant it was over to Isabelle Boineau playing in the final group with Morgan.
Boineau birdied 17 to move into top spot, and only needed a par at the last for her maiden title.
So this tricky looking downhill putt was for the Scottish Open.
Boineau after admitting she felt the nerves coming down the stretch:
"I was alright because Linda (Wessberg) was in the lead so I was just chasing her, but then when I took the lead on (the) 17th green then the pressure was on me and we could see on the 17th and on the 18th I quite struggled, but my caddy managed to keep me in place and we managed to make two putts from just outside the green."
