Player reactions following the final round of the French Open at Le Golf National in Paris
SOUNDBITE (English): Thongchai Jaidee, French Open champion 2016:
"I know my game and performing in general is okay. Very good performing, I know, because I (used my) iron very well, putted very well. That's my key, the most important thing, to hit the ball on the fairway and then hit on the green and then make a putt. Absolutely, today my play was great, there were a couple of misses on the fairway but just coming up you can hit on the green and make a putt. I am not complaining at all, a win's a win and I am very excited about winning the tournament."
SOUNDBITE (English): Francesco Molinari, finished in second place for third time:
"It's just my second event in Europe so it's nice to make some money. I was coming off a good finish last week on the PGA Tour so yes, I will just try to keep it going and obviously now there are a few big tournaments coming up in a short period of time, so I hope my form continues."
SOUNDBITE (English): Rory McIlroy, finished in third place:
"It's been good, the way I've felt with my game and my golf swing and working on a few things. To finish third on my own isn't too bad, I guess. I guess it shows I'm doing some things right, but I wish I could have put a bit of pressure on Thongchai earlier today. I didn't get off to the fastest of starts but he (Thongchai Jaidee) has played great golf and fully deserved to win. To play without a bogey, you know I don't know what he's going to do at the last, but four birdies and no bogeys out there today with the lead is impressive play. This week's been good, I know what I need to work on going forward and hopefully I can get that fixed and be firing on all cylinders going into the (British) Open (14th to 17th July)."
