Player reactions following the third round of the French Open at Le Golf National in Paris on Saturday (2nd July).
SOUNDBITE: (English) Thongchai Jaidee (Leader - 8 under par):
(On leading the French Open):
"Everything worked today and no complaints about anything today. We chipped and putted a couple of holes. Anything this golf course, I tried to hit a lot of fairways and greens, which is more important. I know the set up of the course, which is very difficult and we know also today (the wind) changed a bit direction. Yo have to think all of the time and change a little bit. Sometimes, you need to hit long, hit the fairway - long is fine. Even on 18, I'm very excited. I hit a three wood from the tee and seven iron on the second shot to make a two put, its good enough. Everything was amazing today - the last three rounds have been amazing as well. No complaints about my game this week. One more round tomorrow and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Rory McIlroy (Tied second on 6 under par):
(On recovering from a terrible start to his third round):
"You saw two ends of the spectrum there. There was the front nine, where nothing was fluid at all about what I was doing and on the back nine when I started to get some confidence, it went the best way it could. I guess it just shows a little bit of the fragile state of my game at the minute. The goods really good and the bads is pretty bad. If I can just concentrate on the good stuff tonight and try and replicate the back nine for the whole 18 tomorrow I should be ok."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Martin Kaymer (Tied fourth on 3 under par):
(On what he needs to climb the leaderboard):
"I don't know if I need the course record that I played a few years back, which was nine under par. I don't think 12 under par will be enough to win, but I think nine or 10 under could. So, I think I need six or seven under par in order to have some kind of chance. But, that's always what you think. Usually, you don't need to go that low so, I just try and enjoy tomorrow and enjoy one of my favourite golf courses on the European Tour."
