Post-game reaction after the Golden State Warriors beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 120-111 in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals.
SOUNDBITE (English): Steve Kerr, Warriors head coach (on Warriors performance in the match):
"We were out of sorts the last two games, and we looked a lot more like ourselves. That's really who we are. We're a defensive team that plays off of our defense and tries to run. We had that good balance tonight."
SOUNDBITE (English): Steve Kerr, Warriors head coach (on the talk that Steph Curry was only at 70-percent the last game, and where was he tonight?):
"I thought he looked like 91 percent. It's, you know, it's just talk. So there's always going to be speculation, but it's just talk. He came out and he played a really good game. That's all I can tell you. I mean, he's going to compete every night, and I thought he had an excellent night and helped us get it done."
SOUNDBITE (English): Billy Donovan, Thunder head coach (on the defeat):
"They obviously went on some runs. I thought we really hung in there pretty well. And give our guys a lot of credit for how hard they competed and how hard they played. The difference in the game was the fact that they went to the free throw line 34 times. To me, that was something that was very, very difficult to overcome. We didn't shoot a particularly good percentage when we got into the lane, and we got into the deep paint. So I think our shooting percentage, we've always been a pretty good deep paint-finishing team, but I think our inability to finish plays around the basket when we had a chance to with the free throws was certainly the difference in the game."
