SOUNDBITE: (English): Doc Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach (On the incident)
"Well it's frustrating. You don't want it to happen to anyone. You obviously don't want it to happen during the season or even when the season's not going on. This type of stuff shouldn't happen. But it did and it's real life and you have to deal with real life stuff sometimes in our make believe world."
SOUNDBITE: (English): Doc Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach (On if he's satisfied with Blake Griffin's explanation)
"Well I'm not satisfied with anything. I'm talking about a non-basketball issue right now. So no, I'm not satisfied with anything right now. So having said that, we have to move forward. We have to figure out the best way to deal with this. My job right now, like at this moment, is to make sure those guys in the locker room are ready to play this game and this is a distraction."
SOUNDBITE: (English): Doc Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach (On learning from mistakes)
"We have to learn lessons and sometimes you have to learn them the hard way and this is one hard way. This is a hard lesson for Blake (Griffin) but it's also a hard lesson for our team."
SOUNDBITE: (English): Doc Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach (On moving forward with injury to Blake Griffin)
"Well we just have to. And I always say four to six weeks with a broken hand is unrealistic. I'll tell you that. That's my opinion. But no, you have to, like we don't talk about injuries or guys that aren't playing. We just don't. That's been a policy of mine. We talk about the guys that are going to play. And so, we have to figure it out because we are in a tough conference. And we've kind of clawed our way up to the spot we're at right now and now we got to keep clawing
