Charlotte Dujardin, the reigning European, Olympic and World Dressage Champion, retained her European Freestyle title in Aachen, Germany on Sunday (August 16).
Script: After retaining her Grand Prix Special title on Saturday - and helping Great Britain to team silver - Charlotte Dujardin was looking for one final piece of brilliance at the European Dressage Championships.
Dujardin and Valegro presented the freestyle routine which they performed at the World Cup Final in Las Vegas earlier this year.
The 30-year-old from north London produced a stunning round to the film music of 'Taming Dragons Made Easy' - until she made two big mistakes.
The first error appeared to come when Dujardin lost control of the horse's speed here as they trotted around the periphery.
However, last out, it was still good enough to score 89.054 per cent - and pip Kristina Broring-Sprehe to the title.
The 29-year-old German recorded 88.804 per cent on Desperados FRH after what she claimed was her best-ever freestyle.
And Dujardin admitted afterwards it's time for a break....
"Yeah, I mean I was really happy with my performance. It was obviously just the ones again. And I don't know what has happened - I feel as though I have lost them but I will get them back. But I was really happy with the rest of it. It is a really long week for all the horses here and I think he is ready for a holiday."
