SOUNDBITE: (English) Ann Wauters, Belgian basketball player: (on whether the match against Turkey went as expected):

"A little bit, yes. I think we all knew that the Turkish team is a good team, but not the best level either - so it was important for us to start good. But I think our main goal is to grow in this tournament. So that's why the first game was important, to feel the court, with the circumstances outside. It's pretty hot. All that is really important and I think we did a good job today. But we also know that tomorrow it will be more difficult, and as we go on, of course."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ann Wauters, Belgian basketball player: (on targets at the European games)

"We are pretty ambitious, yes. We're here to try to get a medal, so that means tomorrow is a very important day for us, to get the best seed possible, to have a good next round, so we're trying to do our best to win as many games as possible, and then hopefully a medal!"

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ann Wauters, Belgian basketball player: (on the difference between 3x3 basketball and normal basketball):

"It is very different. First of all it's really short, it's half court. I think it can attract a lot of different people, different public. I think that young people can be very interested in watching that, because basketball game, five on five, can be pretty long, and I think here the goal is to have more spectacular things in a short space of time, and i think that's what we try to do. The shot clock is limited, so you don't have a lot of time to think - not too much tactics. It's just a little bit back to the basics - try to score and try to stop your offence. So it's pretty simple actually."
