Switzerland overcame Canada 5-3 to take their second successive title at the ZEN-NOH World Women's Curling Championship in Sapporo, Japan on Sunday (22nd March).

Canada faced Switzerland in Sunday's (22 March) final of the ZEN-NOH World Women's Curling Championship in Sapporo, Japan.
This was the third meeting of these two teams at the Championship, with Switzerland having won both previous matches.
After five ends, Switzerland led by two stones.
Canada's skip Jennifer Jones then threw a heavy stone which sailed past the two Swiss stones, giving the Europeans a 4-0 lead.
The Canadians finally got on the board in the 7th when Jones gave them two stones as they trailed 4-2.
They found another stone in the ninth when Switzerland's skip Alina Paetz could only remove one stone and the Canadians trailed by just one going into the final end.
Into the tenth, Canada were in pole position as they had three stones around the button but Paetz pulled off a quite majestic final effort.
The Swiss winning the world championship title for the second year in a row and move up to second in the world rankings behind Canada.
