The natural track luge season came to an end on Saturday with the sixth and final meeting at Umhausen in Austria.
Italian Patrick Pigneter, seen here, saw off some stiff competition to win the men's event after eventually posting an impressive time of 2:24.25
Austrian Thomas Kammerlander had impressed both in training and qualification but ultimately fell short finishing second to Pigneter in a time of 2:24.81.
Third place went to Italy and Alex Gruber.
Ekaterina Lavrentyeva of Russia captured the women's title, recording this run in a time of 2:28.90.
There was a surprise in store in the ladies race with Austrian Maria Auer finishing third for her first ever World Cup podium finish.
Evelin Lanthaler took second place.
Patrick Pigneter and Florian Clara combined to win the men's pairs.
The doubles podium was completed by Russian Aleksandr Egorov/Petr Popov in second and Austrians Rupert Bruggler and Tobias Angerer on third position.
Pigneter and Clara were comfortable victors in 2:32.28.
