Intro:
Canada's Mikael Kingsbury and Hannah Kearney of the US come out on top at Calgary Freestyle World Cup moguls on Saturday (3rd January).
Script:
At around -15 it was a cold old day at Calgary's Canada Olympic Park as the home nation were on song in the Freestyle moguls.
The Canadian sisters of Chloe and Justine Dufour-Lapointe - silver and gold at the Sochi moguls respectively - took those podium positions, while an American took top spot.
Hannah Kearney finished third in Sochi, yet she was in fine form here scoring 83.76 for the gold.
In the men's event, the home crowd were able to cheer one of their own to victory.
After Olympic Champion Alex Bilodeau retired from the sport following the Sochi games, Mikael Kingsbury has taken the spot of Canada's Number one.
Kingsbury impressed here with a score of 85.78 and had his compatriot Simon Pouliot-Cavanagh alongside him in second.
Mikael Kingsbury underlined his superiority with a superb final run that gave him a score of 85.78 - by far and away the best of the day.
While Sho Endo of Japan - who came into the finals as the top ranked skier from qualifying - finished third.
The next event is in Deer Valley, USA next week.
