A momentous day in the history of bobsleigh - the first time women had taken part in a men's World Cup event.
Canada's Kaillie Humphries and American Elana Meyers Taylor were the two competitors.
The two were challenging in separate teams, with the American Taylor up first.
The two women were able to compete in the four-person discipline following the Bobsleigh Federation's decision to gender neutralise the sport in the Autumn, thus becoming the first time women have competed at a men's World Cup since its inception in 1984.
And it was they who posted an early leading time.
Kaillie Humphries was up next, piloting the quartet of Canadians.
The two-time Olympic Champion and her team taking more than half a second off the start of Taylor's team.
However, they aren't the first to compete with the men.
Katharin Dewey was a pioneer of women's bobsleigh and piloted her team to a historic victory in the 1940 U.S. Championships when mixed teams were allowed.
Humphries would eventually end up finishing 15th, while Taylor was one place back in 16th.
The winner four-man was led by Olympic Silver medalist, Latvia's Oskars Melbardis.
Yet the story of the four-man World Cup belonged to the women.
