SOUNDBITE: (English) Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool manager:
"Sometimes it just takes a game, it takes one action, it takes one moment that can change a season for you and that's something that we have to believe that can happen. As I've said, it hasn't happened as of late and apart from maybe a half in a game, or a game at Tottenham, we haven't been anywhere near our level and we understand that. One thing you can never do is give up and that's something that we'll never do. We'll keep fighting."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Rickie Lambert, Liverpool striker:
"I think first and foremost, we're focusing on our performance. Win or lose, we've got to put in a performance that's of the standards of a Liverpool team. That's first and foremost. It's possible that we can draw but we are obviously going out to try and win the game and put ourselves in a position in which it gives us a better chance of qualifying for the next round because, like I said, we're not doing so well in the (Premier) league but we've still got a chance to get to the next round of the Champions League at the minute and that's a great achievement and something that we're all desperate for."

That chance is a slim one though, Liverpool are three points behind second place Basel and so anything less than a win could see them eliminated.
