Reigning world and Olympic champion Lin Dan of China faced compatriot Wang Zhengming in the men's singles final at the Chinese Taipei Open on Sunday.

Lin was forced to work for a 21-19 opening-game win, but had no problems in the second, taking an 18-12 lead thanks to this backhand smash.

Lin then cruised to a straight games victory - 21-19, 21-14 - for his fourth title of 2014.

In women's singles, defending champion Sung Ji-hyun of South Korea established a 19-13 lead over China's Liu Xin with a flick smash at the net, before claiming the opener 21-13.

In the second game Sung Ji-hyun finished it off for her second straight Chinese Taipei Open women's singles title.

In the women's doubles, Indonesia's Krishinda Maheswari and Greysia Polii defeated top seeds and defending world champions Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang of China.

Wang and Yu wrapped up a 21-18, 21-11 victory.

In the men's doubles final, Indonesia's Andrei Adistia and Hendra Gunawan took on Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen of China beating them 21-14, 16-21, 21-16.

In mixed doubles, unseeded Chinese teenagers Liu Yuchen and Yu Xiaohan beat Indonesia's Alfian Eko Prasetyva and Annisa Saufika 21-12, 21-14 bringing Liu and Yu their first career international title.
