Xiaohan Yu and Yaqiong Huang defeat compatriots Ou Dongni and Xiong Mengjing to win the Women's Doubles at the Malaysian Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (March 30).

Kuala Lumpur was hosting the Malaysian Grand Prix of Badminton on Sunday with the finals taking place.

In the women's doubles it was an all Chinese affair as Xiaohan Yu and Yaqiong Huang faced ou Dongi and Xiong Mengjing for supremacy.

Yu and Huang dominated the early exchanges of an exciting match and took the first game in some style with a 22-20 scoreline.

The quality of badminton on show proved a fantastic spectacle for the home crowd.

Ou and Xiong fought back and levelled the scoreline as they close the second game with some ease, 21-12 the score.

However, the second game scoreline proved to a hiccup for Yu and Huang.

They came out and produced a superb performance in the third game.

The 21-18 scoreline closing the match in 56 minutes and crowning Yu and Huang as Malaysian Grand Prix champions.
