The FIS Freestyle World Cup moguls season came to an end on Friday night in the French resort of La Plagne.
In the women's competition, Hannah Kearney of the United States made up for the disappoinment of only picking up the bronze medal at the Sochi Winter Olympics with a dominant display, securing not only the moguls World Cup title, but also the overall freestyle crown.
Kearney went into La Plagne with a five point lead over Canada's Justine Dufour-Lapointe, meaning she would claim the title by finishing above the Canadian.
However, Dufour-Lapointe crashed just after the first jump in her first heat in the finals and Kearney had a clean run, beating the 19 year-old's sister, Chloe Dufour-Lapointe, in the Final.
In the men's competition, Canada's Mikael Kingsbury held a 31-point cushion over compatriot Alex Bilodeau, the newly-crowned Olympic champion.
Both made it to the final and although Bilodeau took the win in his final event before retirement, forcing Kingsbury into second place, just as he did at the Winter Olympics, Kingsbury wrapped up the event and overall World Cup titles for the third straight year.
While Kingsbury crossed the line first, the judges awarded the contest to Bilodeau, and the most successful moguls skier in Canadian history was able to say goodbye to his skiing career from the top of the podium.
