Expectant, excited fans gathered in Oslo, Norway on Saturday for the 2014 Artic Challenge.
The challenge, which sees some of the world's best snowboarders come together is the 'brainchild' of Terje Haakonsen.
Now in it's fifteenth year, it sees the world's halfpiping elite compete in two hour-long sessions, one for expression and the other a full run.
In the first session, Sochi gold medalist Iouri Podladtchikov, did well to take third place, but it was Danny Davis who impressed the most.
The charismatic Davis, whose something of a maverick on the Snowboarding circuit, took the top spot in the expression session.
And the judging crew, which included Ingemar Beckman, Dani Sappa, and Greg Johnston, unanimously crowned Davis as the champion of The 2014 Arctic Challenge following the full run session.
Podladtchikov finished third in the second session as well, with Kent Callister taking third overall.
The day belonged to Davis though.
