The Longines Hong Kong International Races took place at the Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday. It's the biggest day of the Hong Kong racing calendar, with $9.2 million US dollars in prize money on offer.

The Longines Hong Kong Vase was won by Red Cadeaux, ridden by Gerald Mosse, before Lord Kanaloa triumphed in the Hong Kong Sprint. Ambitious Dragon, ridden by Zac Purton, won the Longines Hong Kong Mile.

The feature race was the Longines Hong Kong Cup and it was home favourite California Memory, ridden by Matthew Chadwick, who won it for a second year in a row.

The Tony Cruz-trained horse finished ahead of French raider Giofra, with Australian runner Alcopop in third. Fourth place was taken by Hong Kong's Dan Excel.Carlton House, the first horse belonging to Queen Elizabeth II to run at the Hong Kong meet, came in sixth, while French Derby winner Saonois was a disappointing 10th.
