DOUGLAS COSTA thrashed his girlfriend in a race - even though she was driving a go-kart and he was wearing flip-flops.

The speedy Juventus star showed why he is nicknamed "The Flash" as he charged away from stunning model Nathalia Felix.

Costa - who has lightning bolts tattooed on the back of both legs - shared footage of the race to his Instagram page.

In the clip, the 29-year-old got into his starting position as Nathalia confidently revved the engine of her go-kart.

But the flip-flop wearing Brazilian raced away from her after the pair were signalled to start.

Former Bayern Munich star Costa raised his arms in the air and screamed as he beat his partner to the finish line.

Alongside the video, he wrote: "@douglascosta vs @nathaliafelix this week I'm unbeatable. You are next --> @charles_leclerc."

Brazilian superstar Neymar joked: "It's not that fast right."

Arsenal star David Luiz clearly found the clip hysterical as he posted a number of laughing emojis.

The couple have been helping out those on lockdown in Brazil

Costa and his partner are staying together in Brazil after Juventus gave him permission to leave Italy during the coronavirus outbreak.

He has been keeping his 6.2million followers up to date with his day-to-day antics including paddleboarding.

The 29-year-old and his girlfriend Nathalia helped those on lockdown in Brazil by handing out a car load of supplies earlier this month.
