Ipswich will check on midfielder Emyr Huws ahead of the Sky Bet League One match against Peterborough.
Town boss Paul Lambert could be be forced into a change after Huws limped off with an ankle problem during Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at fellow promotion-rivals Rotherham.
Midfielders Jon Nolan and Cole Skuse are pushing for a recall, along with forward James Norwood.
Jack Lankester (back) continues his recovery, along with forward Ben Morris (ACL), while midfielder Tristan Nydam (broken ankle) is another long-term absentee.
Peterborough should have defender Frazer Blake-Tracy available again for the trip to Suffolk.
The full-back has been sidelined since Boxing Day with an ankle problem, but has returned to full training.
Posh manager Darren Ferguson reported no fresh injury concerns following the win at Accrington on Tuesday night which kept them in the play-off picture.
Forward Idris Kanu is stepping up his recovery from a fractured eye socket and could be back in contention for the visit of Oxford, while goalkeeper Conor O’Malley (elbow) is also close to a return to action.
